I don't know about using it for your My Yahoo page, but have a look here:

That's the National Weather Service's main page for maps. Many people will tell you to use other websites. They all get their raw data from the NWS and offer various graphical presentations of that data. Why not just get your maps straight from the source, instead of from a "middleman"? Some of the other sites do offer some unique and clever ways of putting the data to a graphic, however.

You won't get any spyware, adware, etc. from the NWS site. In fact, notice that there aren't ever even any ads on NWS pages. They are funded by the US Gov't.
