Norton antivirus2004....i need help with a virus?

okay i have Norton Antivirus 2004 and it says that i need to renew my subscription but i need to pay $29.99 i kno a lot of people who renewed it for free..........is their a way i can renew it for no $$? thanks

A better alternative is to get AVG which can be had for free at http://free.grisoft.com This is a free version of their award winning anti-virus, which comes with free anti-virus database updates which are done automatically. Norton is good, but since AVG is free, it is better. The best thing to consider is that if you get a virus, Norton will still contact you and tell you how to get rid of it, even if you are not using their product.

There's no such thing as renewing Norton Anti-virus for free. Updates to the software are free, but never subscriptions. My advice. go ahead and pay the money or get a free anti-virus program.

for mistake my mother got the Norton antivirus for windows ( i have a mac ) so i never used it, and i couldn't exchange it because she lost the receipt

ps; i don't like norton , when i had windows i used zonealarm pro. in my opinion that's the best. you can get the free version but with some limitations
There are numerous free anti-virus programs on line. I recommend AVG.com. Get rid of the Norton Program. Microsoft has a firewall you can install for free. If you're with SBC then your virus program , pop up and anti spy ware are free. All them only tell you that you have a virus , you have to go to the file and delete it.

Its a good free Anti Virus ( been using it for over a year and havent caught any virus )
