Zune problem plz help?

I have now had my zune for about half a year and this is the first time that I am experiencing any problems. When I connect my zune to my pc, the pc says found new hardware and it recognizes the zune. However the software will see my zune but it takes about 10-15 minutes to recognize it. When it finally does, it doesn's read anything on the device except for the memory free and used. I went to the microsoft website and tried almost evrything on the list. I disabled my antivirus and tried other usb ports. I even tried it on my brothers new laptop and it didnt read it. I do have all the new updates. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

try renaming it or resetting it as guest it should be able to work for you then

maybe you need a new cord. or maybe your zune is shot
Try calling the Zune customer service, they'll must likely have you use the Zune Sync Diagnostic tool.

If you don't want to do that try holding the back key and the up key at the same time, this will restart your Zune completely.

You can also try formatting your Zune. Follow the steps to restart it, and while it is powering up try one of the following:

*****4GB, 8GB, 80GB*****

Press and hold the Back button at the same time as you press both the left side of the Zune Pad and the Play/Pause button.

*****30GB*****

Press and hold the Back button at the same time as you press both the left side of the Zune pad and the center of the Zune pad.

Continue to hold these buttons until your Zune device restarts and "Please wait" appears on the screen."

*Note: You will lose all data on your Zune if you choose to format it.
