I use Norton antivirus. I have never had any problems at all with it ..seen it stop a couple of viruses . But its getting expensive every year. So I am thinking now of the free A.V.G%26gt; heard its good ...Any advice or coments?
A.V.G. verses Norton Anti-virus?agv
As Malware programs become more complicated and harder to detect and remove the companies like Norton must spend much money combating this. As a result the programs usually increase in price form year to year. This is not the fault of Norton, McAfee, CA or any of the companies.
I use a pay AntiVirus porgram from CA and am very happy with it. I will continue to use it as the price increases. I trust it and depend on it to help protect my computer.
With that said, I want you to know I do not trust it completely. I back up that program with one called Cyberhawk. This program works with your AV and AS programs and provides an extra layer of protection. It is not intended to be used as your primary protection.
I am testing the latest version of AVG 7.5 on another computer. It has picked up two new viruses but that is not the fault of AVG. These are two new viruses that AVG had not been updated to recognize. Within 24 hrs of the infections the AVG was updated and could recognize and remove them.
I have several friend and family members that use the free AVG 7.5 and are well protected. These people also use the Cyberhawk program as additional protection.
