Also how often should I run a scan? It seems I run ad aware and in a few hours, I do one and there are more things detected..how am I getting these so quickly. (question 2)

When I had computer problems, I ran it ten minutes later and had 6 more..where are these coming from?(question 3)

Often times, just by visiting a website, a cookie will be placed on your computer, and this will be seen as a ad-ware by your virus protection software. I would recommend running your virus program at least once a week, if you do a lot of surfing.

As far a having enough protection goes, it seems like you have to much. If you have multiple virus programs running in the background, they may be working against each other. Its best to run only 1 program and stay current with your yearly subscription, and updates.

I recommend Fix It Utillities 6 or 7 and are usually available at your local walmart.
