Possibly a Virus/Spyware or just IE bug?

I am running Avant Browser which I understand is powered by IE. Sometimes a blank tab will suddenly open and then disappear quickly, and my Windows Taskbar then disappears. Most of the time, (I'd say 95%) it comes back in about 15 seconds but occasionally it doesn't come back at all, and so I use Ctrl-Alt-Delete to open Task Manager and Restart my computer.

When the taskbar disappears:

- I still have my mouse cursor and can view and interact with open windows.

- Pressing the Windows button doesn't bring up the Windows Start Menu.

I have run all the virus scans/spyware I can think of: CW Shredder, Rogue Remover, Ad-Aware, Spybot S%26D, AVG AntiSpyware, AVG AntiVirus (in that order, to eliminate any potential threats). Latest versions of all. I am "apparently" virus and spyware free.

System info

Browser: Avant 11.5 Build 21 (latest version)

OS: Windows XP (Version 5.1, Build 2600.xpsp2.gdr.070227-2254: Service Pack 2)

All of the antispyware program that you used are very poor. Rouge Remover is spyware period. The new Adware 2007 is very poor compared to the prior version. I am a registered beta tester. AVG, is very poor at find spyware, SpyBot is not all that good, because it only find tracking cookies and has "immunization", that conflicts with all of your other antispyware and your one antivirus software.
