I just bought a laptop and it's telling me that the data for an image viewer is damaged!?

Just two days ago, I bought a brand new Sony Vaio with Windows Vista. I tried to open an image file, but it says that Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 "has been damaged or illegally modified. Please reinstall from your original source." I haven't done anything to the program, and as far as I can tell, it's the only thing on this computer that I can open picture files in. The only discs I was given with the computer are the antivirus, spy sweeper, Microsoft Office, and Geek Squad recovery ones. Is there a way to fix the problem? Or does anybody know of a simple, scrolling, image-viewing program that I can download for free?

It is telling you that the image (picture file, the picture) is the thing that is damaged or corrupt. It may be a format that Vista cant read or from a source that Vista doesn't like or the like....but it is not your laptop or the software in it
