Try Ad-aware (www.lavasoftusa.com) and Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index... Normaly it works.
You're have to be careful of what and where you download...and there are a few but I would keep BT Yahoo's Norton
try spyware terminator, or spybot search and destroy, both are very good, and free!

before that though, look for prevx, download and install, this will eradicate any stuff that shouldn't be there (It's free to use for 30 days!)

then use a free virus scanner like AVG and Zonealarm (Both Free to use!)
