I had to take my PC for its annual health check, it had loads of spyware and viruses on there which

couldn't get rid of. One virus was quite harmful so they had no choice but to do a full system recovery. I lost so much stuff and have had to reinstall everything again. I reinstalled the internet security again, did a full scan and guess what?? The same virus is still on there! They want me to do another system recovery, is there any other way of getting this bugger off? I have tried other free online security but they only let you scan for free not remove.

There are free online security checks that can scan and remove your computer infections. I will recommend the Panda ActiveScan:

You can also try removing the virus in Safe Mode. To start Windows in Safe Mode, press F8 when the computer's booting (blank screen you switch on the computer). Then, scan with Norton. To get back Windows to Normal Mode, do a restart.

Do NOT download and install any more anti-virus programs unless you completely un-install any current anti-virus program.

The use of 2 anti-virus programs at the same time can cause major conflicts. The 2 scanning engines will fight each other to scan every file that you read, write or execute which can cause a slowdown. For the same reason, using 2 A-Vs can cause you to have less protection from the various malware, not more.
